Keragaman Tubuh Buah Ganoderma spp. pada Kelapa Sawit di Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah

Abstract

Palm oil (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is a plant species from one of the palm families and industrial crops that produce Crude Palm Oil (CPO). One of the obstacles faced in increasing oil palm production in recent years is the attack of stem rot caused by the fungus Ganoderma spp.,  oil palm Ganoderma is a disease caused by the fungus Ganoderma sp. that attacks the roots and stems of oil palm. This disease is also known as stem base rot. This study aims to study and understand the genetic diversity  of Ganoderma spp. and its existence in oil palm plants in the Central Bengkulu Regency area.  The location survey was carried out using the purposive sampling method The data to be taken were environmental conditions in the plantation area, temperature and air humidity, sampling using GPS data, farmer interviews on control methods (OPT) and fertilization. The results of the study showed that in 5 selected sub-districts there were Ganoderma  fruit bodies with almost the same environmental conditions. Ganoderma will develop well if environmental conditions (humidity, soil pH, weed temperature and agricultural practices) support the survival of Ganoderma. The distribution of Ganoderma fruit bodies  that have been found in 5 Central Bengkulu Districts generally grows on weathered tree trunks, tree roots, and at the base of oil palm trunks. The variation in the shape of the Ganoderma fruit body in each village is shaped like a fan and the color of the Ganoderma fruit body starts from reddish brown, black and white.
